Overview

XTB is a forex and CFD broker that also offers stocks and ETFs. It is part of the XTB Group, which includes XTB S.A., a company regulated by Poland’s KNF and listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Which XTB company you deal with depends on the regional website: the international (/int) and Latin American (/lat) sites name XTB International Limited, and the UAE site names XTB MENA Limited. The pages we checked give no founding year or head office. All facts in this review were checked on 14 October 2026.

Licences and who they cover

  • XTB International Limited: Financial Services Commission of Belize, registration no. 6442514. Named on the international and Latin American sites; maximum leverage 1:500.
  • XTB MENA Limited: DFSA (Dubai), reference F006316. Named on the UAE site.
  • XTB Limited: FCA (UK), FRN 522157. Named on the UK site.
  • XTB Limited (Cyprus): CySEC licence 169/12, also on the CySEC register.
  • XTB Agente de Valores SpA: registered with Chile’s CMF as a securities agent (no. 216). Since 2 July 2025, new clients in Chile open accounts with this company; its site offers stocks and ETFs traded abroad, not CFDs. Chilean clients who opened accounts earlier may still be under XTB International.

XTB Limited in Cyprus states that 77% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider; the UK site shows 74%. The international and UAE sites give no percentage.

We found no published list of the countries XTB serves. The international site says it was not created for investors residing in Brazil.

Accounts and costs

The international site shows one set of CFD conditions rather than named account types:

  • no minimum deposit;
  • 0% commission on CFDs, with a minimum spread of 0.5;
  • leverage up to 1:500 and a minimum order of 0.01 lot;
  • a 0.5% currency conversion fee on CFDs.

Trading runs on XTB’s own platform, xStation, on desktop and mobile. The UAE site also shows no minimum deposit and offers MetaTrader 4 next to the web platform; we could not open its CFD conditions tab, so commission and leverage for UAE clients are not covered here.

XTB says swap-free trading is available “for specific periods and not all products”; we found no general swap-free account. Stocks and ETFs are commission-free up to 100,000 EUR of monthly turnover, then 0.2% (minimum 10 EUR).

Deposits and withdrawals

  • Deposits on the international site: cards, bank transfer and online payments in USD. XTB says it charges no deposit fees, although payment providers may; the page shows 2% for Skrill and 1% for Neteller.
  • Withdrawals go only to a bank account in the client’s name. They are free above 50 USD and cost 30 USD below; the money is sent the same or the next business day.
  • UAE site: cards and bank transfer for deposits; bank withdrawals take 2–3 business days, with the same 50 USD threshold and 30 USD fee.

We saw no mobile money or other local African or Latin American methods on the pages we checked.

Before you open an account

  • Check which XTB company your regional site names; the regulator and your protections depend on it.
  • If you deposit by card, Skrill or Neteller, plan to withdraw to a bank account in your name.
  • Withdraw at least 50 USD at a time to avoid the 30 USD fee.
  • If you need swap-free trading, ask which instruments and periods it covers.
