Overview

Pepperstone, a forex and CFD broker, works through several legal entities; which one its website names depends on the regional version. The pages we checked give no founding year or headquarters. All facts in this review were checked on 7 October 2026.

Licences and who they cover

  • Pepperstone Markets Limited: SCB (Bahamas), licence SIA-F217. Named on the global site; product issuer for the UAE CMA entity’s clients.
  • Pepperstone Markets Kenya Limited: CMA (Kenya), licence 128, also on the CMA register; named on the Kenyan site.
  • Pepperstone Financial Services LLC: CMA (UAE), licence 20200000358, for UAE clients; the licence covers only introduction and financial consultation.
  • Pepperstone Financial Services (DIFC) Ltd: DFSA (Dubai), licence F004356; the UAE site marks it for professional clients only.
  • Pepperstone Limited: FCA (UK), registration number 684312; named on the UK site.
  • Pepperstone EU Limited: CySEC (Cyprus), licence 388/20, also on the CySEC register; named on the EU site.
  • Pepperstone Group Limited: ASIC (Australia), AFSL 414530; which clients it serves is not stated.

One UAE page counts nine licensed entities, and the Kenyan site’s legal page mentions a Mauritius licence with no entity name or number in the text we captured; neither is covered here.

Pepperstone EU Limited states that 74.1% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider; other regional sites show different figures or none.

Accounts and costs

Standard and Razor have no minimum deposit, but most methods need at least $10 or the local equivalent per deposit (bank transfers: no minimum).

  • Standard: standard spreads, no commission except on share and ETF CFDs. The Kenyan and UAE pages list MT5 and cTrader, and the global page adds MT4. No TradingView.
  • Razor: raw spreads plus 3.50 USD per lot per side on MT4 and MT5 for a USD account (7 USD round turn); 6 USD round turn on cTrader, 7 USD on TradingView.

Kenyan site accounts are in USD or GBP. No page we checked mentions a swap-free account.

Deposits and withdrawals

On the Kenyan site, M-Pesa (Kenya only), Mobile Money (Uganda only), cards, PayPal, Neteller and Skrill are free, with immediate deposits and withdrawals within 1 business day. Bank wire deposits take 3–5 business days and withdrawals up to 2; only international withdrawals are charged, at 20 USD or 15 GBP.

On the UAE site, Mashreq Bank and Barclays Bank transfers take up to 2 business days each way, and card deposits are capped at 75,000 AED per transaction.

Before you open an account

  • Check which entity your regional site names in its footer; the licence and the risk warning depend on it.
  • In the UAE, note that the products are issued by the Bahamas entity.
  • If you need a swap-free account, ask before you deposit.
