Trading from TradingView charts
TradingView is a charting platform and social network for traders. Besides charts and alerts, it lets you connect an account at a supported broker and place orders directly from the chart. The broker still holds your money and executes your trades; TradingView is only the front end.
Things to know
- Not every account type connects. A broker may support TradingView for some account types or entities only.
- Data versus execution. The chart you see may come from a different data feed from the prices your broker trades at. With a connected account, check that the symbol is the broker’s own.
- Prop firms. Some prop firms let you trade their challenges through TradingView; the firm’s loss limits still apply to every order.
- Your TradingView plan. Charting features depend on your plan, so check what yours includes.
