Overview

Octa’s website is octabroker.com (octa.com is unrelated). Its footer says the site is operated by Versustrategy Inc, registered in Saint Lucia under business registration number 2025-00917. Octa’s EU company, Octa Markets Cyprus Ltd, is licensed by CySEC. We found no founding year or headquarters address. All facts were checked on 7 October 2026.

Licences and who they cover

  • Octa Markets Cyprus Ltd: CySEC licence 372/18 in the CySEC register, which links the company to EU domains such as octabroker.eu, not to octabroker.com.
  • Mauritius: Octa’s Mauritius complaint policy refers to an investment dealer licence from the Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Mauritius. Octa’s pages conflict on which company holds it, so the licensing details of this entity are being verified.

The footer says the company operating octabroker.com does not serve residents of Canada, the European Union, Iran, Israel, Japan, Myanmar, New Zealand, North Korea, the Philippines, the United Kingdom or the United States, among others. The site’s access banner also names India and Pakistan.

Accounts and costs

Octa’s three account types are its platforms: OctaTrader (Octa’s own), MetaTrader 5 and MetaTrader 4. All three have floating spreads from 0.6 pips (described as a markup), no trading commission, a 25 USD minimum deposit and USD as the base currency, and Octa says all its accounts are swap-free. They differ in the number of instruments: 104, 263 and 77 respectively.

The comparison table lists a 5 USD inactivity fee. The site advertises leverage of up to 1:1000 on forex and gold, 1:400 on other metals, energies and indices, and 1:200 on crypto, as well as a 50% bonus on deposits over 50 USD, whose terms this review does not cover.

Deposits and withdrawals

Octa says the methods available depend on the country you register with. When we checked, the site treated our location as restricted and the deposit page showed only a limited list, mainly cryptocurrencies, so we could not confirm local methods for African or Latin American countries.

  • Tether (TRC20): deposits from 25 USDT in 3–30 minutes; withdrawals from 10 USDT, approved in 1–3 hours and sent within 30 minutes; no fee.
  • Visa, Mastercard, Skrill and Neteller (listed by Octa among popular methods): deposits usually take a few minutes, up to 30; withdrawals from 20 USD by Visa and from 5 USD by Skrill or Neteller; no Octa fee.

Octa says deposits via local banks usually take 1–3 hours; the pages we checked do not describe withdrawals to a bank.

Before you open an account

  • Check which Octa company would hold your account and its licence; the Mauritius details are still being verified.
  • Check your country against both restricted lists, in the footer and in the access banner.
  • After registering, check which payment methods are offered for your country and their minimum amounts.
