Overview
Lucid Trading is a futures prop firm. Its help center does not state its founding date, location or legal entity, and its main website could not be opened when facts were checked on 7 October 2026, so this review relies on the help center. It covers LucidFlex (25K, 50K, 100K and 150K), not Lucid’s other programs. You trade CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX futures on 12 platforms, including NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView and Quantower.
Programs and prices
LucidFlex has a one-time fee with no monthly rebilling, and you can take as long as you need to pass. Prices were not available on the pages we could access. The price depends on a choice at purchase: with the daily loss limit switched on, the evaluation is cheaper; with it off, it costs more. There is no activation fee for the funded account, and the help center states no refund policy.
Rules
- Profit target: $1,250 (25K), $3,000 (50K), $6,000 (100K) or $9,000 (150K).
- Consistency: in the evaluation, your largest day must be 50% or less of account profit (a consistency rule); Lucid says you can pass in two days. The funded account has none.
- Maximum loss limit: $1,000, $2,000, $3,000 or $4,500 by size, as an end-of-day trailing drawdown on the highest closing balance. It locks at the initial balance plus $100 once the balance passes a set level ($52,100 on 50K) or when you first request a payout.
- Daily loss limit: optional; if chosen, it applies to the evaluation and the funded account, and hitting it locks you out until the next session.
- News: allowed on LucidFlex.
- Overnight and weekends: not allowed; Lucid closes open positions at 4:45 PM EST, Monday to Friday, without failing the account.
- Automation: automated systems and trade copiers are allowed; you are responsible for any software errors.
Payouts
Funded payouts are split 90% to you and 10% to Lucid (the profit split). There is no fixed window: you can request a payout once the cycle has 5 days at or above a minimum daily profit ($100, $150, $200 or $250 by size) and a positive net profit. Requests run from $500 to 50% of profit, capped at $1,000, $2,000, $2,500 or $3,000 by size; another sentence on the page says 50% of the balance. After 5 payouts, the trader is moved live. Payouts are disbursed within 2 business days of approval.
Countries
Lucid’s restricted-countries article (dated 26 August 2026) lists 76 countries whose citizens or residents cannot use its services. They include South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Senegal; Ecuador, Panama, Venezuela and Jamaica; and Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Turkey.
Before you buy a challenge
- Check the current LucidFlex price on Lucid’s website, with and without the daily loss limit.
- Confirm that neither your citizenship nor your residence is on the list.
- Note the per-request payout cap and the limit of 5 payouts per account.
