Rules

  • 2 Step GOAT: profit targets of 8% and 6%, at least 3 profitable days per step, a 4% daily loss limit and a static 10% maximum loss.
  • 2 Step Standard: profit targets of 10% and 5%, at least 3 profitable days per step, a 5% daily limit and a static 10% maximum loss.
  • 1 Step: a 10% profit target, at least 3 profitable days, a 3% daily limit (4% for accounts bought before 1 August 2026) and a static 6% maximum loss.

A profitable day is one on which you close at least one position and make at least 0.5% of the initial balance. The daily limit is a percentage of the higher of balance or equity at 5:00 PM EST. Funded accounts bought from late July 2026 need 4 profitable days per payout.

News trading is allowed, but any trade opened or closed within 5 minutes before or after high-impact news can make at most 1% of the initial balance; this applies in the challenge and on funded accounts. Weekend holding is allowed. Hedging is prohibited. Expert advisors are allowed only if you developed them yourself; third-party EAs are not.

Payouts

The profit split is 80% on all three challenges, or 100% with a paid add-on. Rewards can be withdrawn every 14 days after the first trade. Funded accounts have a $3,000 daily profit cap, and the first two payouts are capped at 6% of the account size or $10,000, whichever is lower. An optional on-demand first reward pays a 40% split.

Countries

Goat Funded Trader lists 32 restricted countries. They include Chile and Bolivia in Latin America; Senegal, Togo, Mali, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Central African Republic in Africa; Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, Syria, Yemen and Libya in the Middle East and North Africa; and Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Russia and Ukraine.

Before you buy a challenge

  • Check the restricted list first; it covers several Latin American, African and Middle Eastern countries.
  • If you trade news, plan for the 1% profit cap per trade around high-impact releases.
  • Compare the 2 Step GOAT’s lower targets with the 2 Step Standard’s higher daily limit.
