Overview

Take Profit Trader is a futures prop firm run by TakeProfitTrader LLC, whose website gives an address in Windermere, Florida, United States; the pages we could open do not say when it was founded. Its only evaluation is the one-step Trading Test in five sizes: 25K, 50K, 75K, 100K and 150K. Passing it leads to a PRO account, which is simulated; a live PRO+ account is offered only by invitation. You trade futures listed on CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX, not stocks, options, forex, crypto or CFDs. The company says the NFA and the CFTC do not require futures funding firms to be members, and that 36.22% of Trading Tests were passed in 2025. Facts were checked on Take Profit Trader’s official pages on 14 October 2026.

Programs and prices

The Trading Test is a monthly subscription, charged on the same calendar day each month, with no time limit to reach the profit target. It is cancelled automatically when you pass, and PRO accounts have no recurring fee. The monthly prices load from a service that blocked our capture tool, so this review does not list them: check the current price for your size on the website. What we could confirm:

  • PRO activation fee: $130, charged once after passing (waived during some promotions).
  • Test resets: $79 (25K), $99 (50K), $139 (75K), $169 (100K) or $199 (150K).
  • Refunds: only within 72 hours of purchase if the account has not been used or traded, minus a $75 fee.

Rules

  • Profit target: $1,500, $3,000, $4,500, $6,000 or $9,000 (6% of each size), reached over at least 3 trading days. Your best day must stay below 50% of your total net profit (a consistency rule).
  • Maximum trailing drawdown: $1,500 (25K), $2,000 (50K), $2,500 (75K), $3,000 (100K) or $4,500 (150K). In the Test it is an end-of-day trailing drawdown that stops at the starting balance, but the account is liquidated as soon as the balance touches it, open losses included. In the PRO account the drawdown trails intraday.
  • Daily loss limit: none in the Test, PRO or PRO+ accounts.
  • News: no news rule in the Test. PRO and PRO+ accounts must be flat, with no open orders, from one minute before to one minute after FOMC, Non-Farm Payroll and CPI releases.
  • Overnight and weekends: not allowed; positions cannot be carried into the next trading day and are closed automatically at 4:55 PM ET.
  • Automation: trading bots and algorithms are not permitted. Trade copiers may only be used between your own accounts.

Payouts

In the PRO account the trader keeps 80% of profits; the invitation-only PRO+ account pays 90%. Payouts are possible from day one and every day after that, but only from profit above a buffer equal to the drawdown: on a 50K account, for example, the balance must first reach $52,000. Withdrawals of $250 or less from the wallet cost $50. Money is paid through Plaid (US bank accounts), PayPal or Wise.

Countries

Take Profit Trader’s restricted-countries article lists 119 countries and territories from which its platform and market data may not be accessed. The list includes Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Qatar, Pakistan, the Philippines and Peru, as well as EU members such as Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania.

Before you buy a challenge

  • Check the current monthly price for your account size on the website before subscribing.
  • Add the $130 PRO activation fee to your budget.
  • Make sure you can be flat before the daily close and around major US news releases once funded.
  • Check that your country is not on the restricted list.
