Overview

Deriv says its group of companies has served traders since 1999. Its regulatory page names five group companies and their regulators:

  • Deriv (BVI) Ltd: British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission (BVI FSC)
  • Deriv (V) Ltd: Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC)
  • Deriv (Mauritius) Ltd: Financial Services Commission, Mauritius (FSC)
  • Deriv Investments (Cayman) Limited: Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA)
  • Deriv Investment Bank (Labuan) Ltd.: Labuan Financial Services Authority (Labuan FSA)

Deriv (SVG) LLC (St Vincent and the Grenadines) and Deriv Capital International Ltd (Samoa) are listed there without a regulator or licence. The holding company is Deriv.com Limited (Guernsey); we found no headquarters address. All facts were checked on 7 October 2026.

Licences and who they cover

Deriv does not publish which company serves which country; its terms say this depends on your country of residence and the products you trade.

Licence numbers appear only in scanned licence documents on Deriv’s regulatory page; we have not yet confirmed them in the regulators’ registers, so we do not list them.

Deriv’s site still uses the Labuan company’s former name, Deriv (FX) Ltd; the document linked as its licence is a Labuan FSA certificate of the name change, effective 4 December 2025.

Accounts and costs

Deriv MT5 lists five account types: Standard, Zero Spread, Swap-Free, Financial and Gold. The terms below cover the first three; none has a minimum deposit.

  • Standard: spreads from 0.1 pips, no commission.
  • Swap-Free: a swap-free account, spreads from 0.3 pips, no commission.
  • Zero Spread: spreads from 0 pips; a commission applies, but its amount is not stated.

Deriv’s other platforms (Deriv cTrader, TradingView, Deriv Trader, Deriv Bot, SmartTrader) have no account terms on the pages we checked. Deriv’s CFD page advertises leverage of up to 1:1000 without naming the company that offers it.

Deposits and withdrawals

Deriv’s payment-methods page lists 72 methods, with limits in USD and no fee column. Deriv says availability and processing times may vary by location. Examples:

  • Visa and Mastercard: deposits instant, withdrawals in 1 working day; USD 10–10,000.
  • Skrill and Neteller: instant; USD 10–10,000.
  • Tether (ERC20, TRC20 & BEP20): deposits instant, withdrawals in 1 working day; USD 15–1,000.
  • M-Pesa (Kenya): instant; USD 5–1,000.
  • Mobile money (MTN, Airtel, Orange Money, Moov, Vodafone, Vodacom): instant; Vodafone and Vodacom withdrawals take 1 working day.
  • Latin America: SPEI (Mexico), Yape (Peru), PIX (Brazil), Khipu (Chile) and DeUNA (Ecuador), instant; OXXO (Mexico) and PagoEfectivo (Peru) take deposits only.
  • South Africa: Ozow and Capitec Pay, instant.

Before you open an account

  • Ask Deriv which group company would hold your account and what leverage it offers, then check that company’s licence in its regulator’s register.
  • If you consider the Zero Spread account, ask for its commission first.
  • Check your payment method’s limits; OXXO and PagoEfectivo are deposit-only.

We have not tested this company with our own account yet; this review will be updated when we do.
