Who runs Coinhako

Coinhako says it was founded and has been headquartered in Singapore since 2014. Its user agreement is a contract with SBI Coinhako Technology Pte. Ltd. (UEN 201332728R), a private company incorporated in Singapore. Coinhako says it serves “users in Singapore and the Rest of the World”, but users outside Singapore trade only with a USD balance and cannot deposit or withdraw USD by default. All facts in this review were checked on 28 October 2026 on Coinhako’s website, its help centre and its legal documents.

Licence

SBI Coinhako Technology holds a Major Payment Institution licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to provide digital payment token services, licence number PS20200556. Its risk disclosure, written as MAS requires, warns that a licence does not mean you will get all your money or tokens back if the company fails. We could not check the licence in the MAS register, because that site answered with a bot-protection page.

Who can open an account

The user agreement excludes U.S. Persons and anyone linked to territories under territory-wide sanctions (not named). No page we read mentions mainland China, Hong Kong or Taiwan.

Fees

Coinhako publishes fees by order type rather than maker and taker rates:

  • Spot trades paid from your SGD or USD wallet: 0.6%
  • Buying with a debit card: 0.6%; with GrabPay: 2.8%
  • Limit orders and recurring buys: 0.5%
  • OTC trades: 0%

Deposits and withdrawals in SGD and USD

In Singapore you deposit SGD by PayNow, free of charge, and withdraw it by FAST bank transfer for 2 SGD. USD goes in and out by SWIFT transfer: Coinhako charges nothing on USD deposits (your bank may), and 50 USD per USD withdrawal. You can only withdraw to a bank account you have already deposited from, and PayNow withdrawals are not available yet. Debit cards and GrabPay can be used to buy crypto; GrabPay cannot be used for withdrawals.

USDT and other crypto withdrawals

Each coin has its own page with networks and fees. Coinhako charges no fee on crypto deposits. Withdrawal fees on the day we checked:

  • USDT: 3.0 USDT on Ethereum (ERC20), 0.0 USDT on Tron, 0.3 USDT on Solana
  • USDC: 3.0 USDC on Ethereum (ERC20), 1.0 USDC on Solana
  • BTC: 0.00005 BTC

No minimum withdrawal is shown. Always pick the same network on both sides of a transfer.

Alternative Products

Coinhako’s “Alternative Products” are structured products: you choose to buy low or sell high at a strike price, earn a premium shown as an APR and get paid in stablecoins or crypto depending on where the price ends up. They are provided by Alpha Hako Ltd., not by SBI Coinhako Technology, and are not regulated by MAS. Because you are paid in stablecoins or in crypto depending on the price at expiry, what you get back can be worth less than what you put in. Coinhako’s user agreement also contains terms for a “Coinhako Earn” lending product, which it says is not regulated and not insured; we did not see it offered on the site.

Before you open an account

  • Compare the 0.6% spot fee with the 0.5% limit-order fee before you trade.
  • Check the network and the withdrawal fee in the app before sending USDT.
  • Read the Alternative Products terms before subscribing, because MAS does not regulate them.

We have not tested Coinhako with our own account yet; this review will be updated when we do.
