Overview

Axi is a forex and CFD broker founded in Sydney, Australia, in 2007. Its international site and its Spanish, French and Arabic sites are run by AxiTrader LLC; the UK and UAE sites name other Axi companies. The pages we checked do not name a current head office. All facts in this review were checked on 14 October 2026.

Licences and who they cover

  • AxiTrader LLC: incorporated in St Vincent and the Grenadines (company number 4303 LLC 2025) and registered by the local Financial Services Authority; the site gives no licence number. It is a member of The Financial Commission, an external dispute-resolution body. Runs the international, Spanish, French and Arabic sites; leverage up to 1:1000.
  • Axi Financial Services (UK) Limited: FCA (UK), firm reference number 466201. Runs the UK site.
  • AxiCorp Financial Services Pty Ltd: ASIC (Australia), AFSL 318232.
  • AxiCorp Financial Services Pty Ltd (DIFC Branch): DFSA (Dubai), category 4 licence with a retail endorsement; it is not authorised to hold client money. Runs the UAE site, which shows no licence number.

The UK company states that 67.7% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with it. The international site gives no percentage, and the UAE site says retail accounts lose money without giving a figure.

The international site says it is not intended for residents of Australia and New Zealand; the French site also excludes France and the French overseas territories.

Accounts and costs

All accounts are free to open, offer leverage up to 1:1000 and use one login for MT4, MT5 and the Axi Trading Platform, Axi’s own platform.

  • Standard: spreads from 0.68 pips on EURUSD and no commission.
  • Swap-free: the same spreads and no commission; instead of swaps, Axi charges a fixed overnight holding fee. You choose this swap-free account when you apply.
  • Premium: spreads from 0 pips on EURUSD and a commission of 4.5 USD round trip per lot.
  • Elite: spreads from 0 pips and a commission of 3.5 USD round trip per lot, for high-volume traders.

Axi publishes a recommended minimum deposit (100 USD; 25,000 USD for Elite) rather than a fixed minimum. Its fees and platform pages speak of “Pro” accounts, a name the accounts page does not use. There is no commission on BTCUSD and ETHUSD for Pro and Elite accounts. An inactivity fee may be charged monthly after 12 months without trading.

Deposits and withdrawals

Axi lists payment methods by region and charges no fee on any of them. It processes requests at once on its side; the money can take 1–7 business days to arrive, depending on the bank and the country.

  • Africa page: cards (from USD 5), PayPal where PayPal allows it, international bank transfer (1–3 days), local bank transfer in ZAR and NGN, local mobile money in GHS, KES, TZS, UGX and XOF, Skrill, Neteller, Astropay and crypto, including USDT (TRC-20) from USD 30 in up to 15 minutes. The same methods are listed for withdrawals.
  • Latin America page: cards, PayPal, international bank transfer, PIX, TED, Boleto, Skrill and Neteller for deposits; no local method for Mexico, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Ecuador or Colombia.
  • Middle East and North Africa page: cards, PayPal, international bank transfer, Skrill and Neteller for deposits; card withdrawals are not listed there.

Before you open an account

  • Check which Axi company your regional site names; the protection you get depends on it.
  • Treat the recommended deposit as a guide and check the minimum of your payment method.
  • If you need a swap-free account, choose it when you apply and check the holding fee.
  • Remember that leverage up to 1:1000 magnifies losses as well as gains.
