Results are estimates. Brokers and prop firms calculate prices and limits in their own way — check their rules.

The formula

You pay C = fee × (1 − discount). If you pass (probability q), you earn payouts P = account size × monthly return × profit split × months, plus the fee back if the firm refunds it. Expected value = q × (P + refund) − C.

Example: a fee of 100, a 10% chance to pass, a 10,000 account, 3% a month and an 80% split for 3 months: P = 720, refund 100, expected value = 0.10 × 820 − 100 = −18. The break-even pass rate is 100 ÷ 820 = 12.2%.

Expected cost of getting funded

If each attempt passes with probability q, you need 1 ÷ q attempts on average, so the expected spend is C ÷ q (1,000 in the example). Refunds and reset discounts are ignored.

Be honest with the inputs

Use your own track record for the pass rate and the monthly return. Funded accounts can be lost again, payouts can be capped and firms change their rules — read the current terms.
