Overview

Freedom24 is the trading brand of Freedom Finance Europe Ltd, an investment firm incorporated in Cyprus on 5 August 2013 and headquartered in Limassol. The company holds licence CIF 275/15 from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), granted on 20 May 2015. It is a subsidiary of Freedom Holding Corp., a group listed on Nasdaq. Freedom24 offers stocks, ETFs, bonds, futures and stock options through a web platform and a mobile app. All facts in this review were checked on 28 October 2026 on Freedom24’s own pages and legal documents.

Who holds your account

Freedom Finance Europe Ltd is the only licensed company the site names. It says it serves “EU clients” and operates “across all EU countries”. Its Licences page also lists tied agents — firms that receive and transmit orders for it and, in most cases, give investment advice — in Germany, Greece, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Spain, Bulgaria, Italy and France.

Freedom24 does not publish a list of countries where it accepts clients. Its footer says the services are not available where they would break local law, and its General Terms of Business exclude persons in the United States. Whether residents of Africa, Latin America or the Middle East can open an account is not stated, so this platform does not appear on our country pages.

Products and markets

The site advertises access to 15 US, European and Asian exchanges, about 40,000 shares and more than 3,600 ETFs. It does not name the exchanges; it only says that securities bought on US exchanges are held by Vision Financial Markets LLC and that European securities are held with Euroclear. Fractional shares are not mentioned.

Costs

Freedom24 has two public service plans with no monthly fee:

  • Smart, which the site calls its “standard fee plan”: US stocks and ETFs cost USD 0.02 per share plus USD 2 per order.
  • All inclusive: 0.5% of the trade value plus USD 0.012 per share plus USD 1.2 per order.

A US trade is charged in US dollars and the commission is then converted into the plan’s currency. The fee schedule names “All Inclusive in USD” as the default plan for clients whose promotional plan ends, so check which plan your account uses.

Freedom24 does not publish a currency conversion rate: conversions are made at the market rate shown in your account. Its dormant-account policy says no fees are charged on dormant accounts. We found no custody fee for the normal trading account and no minimum deposit.

Protection

Freedom Finance Europe Ltd is a member of Cyprus’s Investor Compensation Fund, a compensation scheme that pays up to EUR 20,000 per client if the firm cannot return clients’ money or securities. Freedom24 says client funds and securities are kept separate from its own assets.

Deposits and withdrawals

You can deposit by bank transfer, which takes one to three business days with no Freedom24 fee (your bank may charge), or by bank card, which is credited instantly. The deposit FAQ gives a 2% commission for card deposits; the fee schedule says the card fee depends on the method, country and currency and is shown when you pay.

Each withdrawal costs 7 EUR or 7 USD, depending on your account’s base currency, plus any fees charged by intermediary banks. Money can only be withdrawn to your own account. The fee schedule also lists withdrawals to a bank card at 0.65% (minimum 2 USD or EUR).

Regulator checks

We could not open the CySEC register entry that Freedom24 links to, because CySEC’s website does not allow automated access, and the US SEC’s website refused our requests. We therefore could not read those regulators’ own announcements about Freedom companies; the licence details above come from Freedom24’s footer, about page and legal documents, which agree with each other.

What we could not confirm

  • A list of accepted or excluded countries.
  • A minimum deposit, a currency conversion rate or a custody fee for the trading account.
  • The names of the 15 exchanges.
  • The licence in CySEC’s own register.

We have not tested this platform with our own account yet; this review will be updated when we do.
